…Jesus replied to a woman calling out a blessing on the Lord, with a command to put God’s word into practice in the life of Christians.

…Jesus taught HIs Disciples (and us too) that the way to show our love toward Him is to obey His commandments.    

My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Leslle Koh … AT THIS LINK …  tells of two men exchanging harsh words in over a parking space in a CHURCH parking lot, having likely just heard a sermon on God’s love and grace.   

And the ODB story rather sadly illustrates what is strongly taught in the Scriptures above, especially those commanded by Jesus who claim to love and follow Him.  God’s word is clear, isn’t it - over and over again - commanding those who claim to be the Lord’s disciples to be DOERS of His word?  Meditating deeply on the Scriptures above shows that truth.   

So, … what can we be doing today that shows us to be true followers of God’s truth?  Because when and if we do become DOERS OF GOD’S WORD, we will be showing our love for our Lord.  And that is what Don Moen is singing about int the linked song.  

My THANKFULNESS:<... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for ALWAYS being there with Your enabling grace when I live by Your word.      

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, …  to live by Your word, Lord, …  today and every day.       Amen
