My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Katara Patton … AT THIS LINK … wrote of getting wise advice from the author’s father while in school which helped her avoid getting too overloaded and burning out while in school.
The ODB author’s experience reminded her of Moses getting wise advice from his father-in-law, Jethro, who helped Moses see that the Prophet needed help to avoid getting burned out as the leader of God’s people (see Highlight passage) And God’s advice, thru Solomon in Proverbs (see verses above) often - and repeatedly - warns believers to get good, GODLY, advice before taking action.
I learned that lesson decades ago from a wise and Godly mentor; and I’ve followed it by surrounding myself with Godly helpers, whom i trust are following God’s word for His perfect wisdom, as The Getty’s sing in the linked song. And so, I pray that all reading with me here are seeking God’s guidance thru His word and from Godly counselors in your life.
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for sending me Your Spirit and wise Christians to help me stay on Your path in life.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to seek out those who follow Your word and give us good and Godly advice to help us follow Your will, Lord, and Your ways. Amen
