Highlight Passage [Context]: … Psalm 27:4  [NLT] …

4 The one thing I ask of the Lord — the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in His Temple.

… King David, even while being oppressed by enemies, sought after God’s protection, all the way to dreaming of being with the Lord and living in His Temple forever.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Kirsten Holmberg … AT THIS LINK  told of moving to a new home; and even during all the moving challenges, remembering that her permanent home was - and always will be - her home in heaven.

And that’s what King David sang about in His song about longing for heaven (see Highlight passage).  It’s what Jesus promised His confused Disciples in the Upper Room (see John 14:1-3).   It’s what Paul encouraged fellow Christians In Phil. 3:18-20.  It’s what Peter wrote about to persecuted Christians in 1Peter 1:3-5.  And it’s what God revealed to John in Revelation 21:3-4 And finally, it’s what any/all born-again Christians can count on, no matter what we’re going thru in this life; and that is a permanent and protected home with our Lord forever in heaven.

And recently I can identify with the feelings of the ODB author today as my wife and I went thru all the trials of moving to a new home.  And there were times, during the move, that we were challenged by all the disruption in our lifestyle.  But thru it all, we were comforted by the reality and the truth sung by Christ Tomlin in the linked song … that our real home - our permanent home - was waiting for us in our final move … to be with our Lord in heaven.

And today I pray that all reading here joyfully wait for that final move to be in our permanent and last home address in heaven.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for bringing me thru all that I encounter today, headed for my final home, … to be with You in heaven.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, …  to know and praise You, Lord, for leading us to be with You in heaven.       Amen
