My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Estera Pirosca Escobar, AT THIS LINK writes of how the USA Senate designated this date - 9/12 - as our “National Day of Encouragement” because of what transpired on 9-11-01 [see photo] … a tragedy which should lead us all to remember and using today - and really all days - to lift others up, … looking ahead and not behind.
And that spirit - God’s Spirit of encouragement - should be the goal of every Christians every day, should it not? And God’s word is repetitively clear on that … with the truth from both the OT and NT [see passages above], exhorting/commanding us all to lift each other up with encouragement, just Jesus’ life and God’s word, charges us to lift each other up with encouragement when we see those who need it.
So, whom will God give us an opportunity to share some uplifting words today? … I pray we all take the opportunity and do what the group Selah sings in the linked song.
