Sept 4, 2020 … Anyone - Anywhere - Anytime

Berry Patch Devotions in 2020 - Day 248

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...  Please take the time to take in images, song and lyrics from Steve Green singing … People Need the Lord … poignantly singing of how we, as Christ’s ambassadors on earth need to be willing to share Christ’s Gospel with anyone, anyplace, and at anytime.

God's transforming power to change lives ...

==============
Highlight Passage : … Colossians 4:3-4 [ESV] ...   3 At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison - 4 that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.
… Paul asking fellow Christians to pray for the Apostle in prison … that he may be able to share the Gospel with those in the prison.

… Jesus charging His Disciples to become fruit bearers for His kingdom.

Reference Passage : … Acts 1:8 [ESV] … 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Reference Passage : … 1Peter 3:14-15 [ESV] … USE THIS LINK
… Peter also exhorts fellow Christians to be ready anywhere/anytime to answer the questions of those who need the Lord and His gospel message.

My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Arthur Jackson, AT THIS LINK relates a story of a church janitor who was willing to witness to a prostitute because he knew of the transforming power of the Gospel [see photo] to change the lives of ANYONE.

Didn’t Jesus charge us, when He left this earth to return to Heaven [see Acts 1:8], to be His witnesses to anyone, anywhere, anytime? He did; didn’t He?

And others, like the Apostles Paul and Peter, exhorted fellow Christians [like us] to pray for opportunities to share Christ’s love/grace with anyone who will listen (see Scriptures above). And that’s what Steve Green sings about in the linked song as well, … doesn’t he?

So, as Paul shared with the Christians at Colossae [see highlight passage], will you join me today to pray that God will give us opportunities to share Christ’s good news with someone, … ANYONE …, who might need God’s transforming grace?

=============
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, Lord, … for Your good news to share with others who need it today.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... I pray, Lord, that all reading here will join me, to pray today, for opportunities to share the Gospel with others who need it … anyone, anywhere, anytime! … Amen
