My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, James Banks, AT THIS LINK relates the recent story of an American Pastor who was unjustly imprisoned for 2 years in Turkey (see photo); and his frequent inquiry of his wife who could only visit him occasionally was, … “Are people still praying for me?”

That story has personal meaning for me because the Pastor’s uncle was a fellow Elder in my church; and we were in prayer for him daily for over two years until the Pastor was finally released from the Turkish prison. And in those times, our hopes, as fellow Christians, were in all the truths we believed in from God’s word, and especially from Jesus himself (see Scriptures above) … that God hears our prayer and cares for the needs of His children in times of trial and suffering.

Perhaps you know of someone who personally needs God’s answer to your faithful prayers to help your loved one. Perhaps that someone is YOU, who is praying for God to be there to help you in these trying times. Well, … as Alisa Turner sings in the linked song, … we need to keep praying … because God does hear; and if it is in His will and certainly if our prayers are in accord with His Name, He will answer our prayers. So, let’s keep praying !!
