My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Karen Kwek, AT THIS LINK … tells of how a mongrel dog whose leg had to be amputated was adopted and treated with great care by the one who found the dog after it was hit by a car.
The incident reminded the ODB author of how King David treated Saul’s grandson, Mephibosheth, to fulfill his promise to the boy’s father, his dear friend, Jonathan, … inviting the crippled boy to dine with the King for the rest of his life [see highlight passage]. And that story, along with the linked song and the Scriptures above, should remind us all of how we, as born-again and broken sinners, have been invited to dine with the King of Kings … FOREVER. … And for that invite, will any reading here join me with gratitude as we join King Jesus at His eternal table?
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, …for inviting me, … a broken sinner, … to Your table, Lord.
