October 6, 2021 … Let’s Do Something Today! …

Berry Patch Devotions in 2021 - Day 279

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ... Please take the time to take in a song and lyrics from Matthew Wests singing … Do Something … pointedly singing of the need for us, as disciples of Christ, to follow His lead to “DO SOMETHING” in this world to help others in need.

Sharing God's love by helping others ...

Highlight Passage: Psalm 23:4 [NLT] …

15 See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people.

Paul exhorts fellow Christians to live like Christ, helping others in need.

Reference Passage: … Proverbs 19:17, 22:9 [NLT] … USE THIS LINK …

Solomon on the Godly value of helping others.

Reference Passage: … Galatians 6:2 [NLT] …

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Christ calls all of His disciples to love and help one another.

Reference Passage: … Philippians 2:3-4 [NLT] …

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

God, thru Paul, charges fellow Christians to look out for the needs of others.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Anne Cetas, AT THIS LINK … writes of a young lady, named Amber, who started a foundation to support a women’s basketball league in her area which led to young women mentoring and helping each other, … with one of the girls being quoted as saying, … There is so much camaraderie among us. This is something I’d been missing. We support each other in so many different ways. I love seeing the girls succeed and grow.”

And this young woman’s work illustrates what the Apostle Paul repetitively exhorted His fellow Christians to do in emulating Christ in the way we live. And my hearing the linked song and meditating on God’s truth in the Scriptures above convicted me to do more as a God-called ambassador of His love and grace today. … How about you?

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, …for calling me to do more to encourage and help others in my life today.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to reach out in love (see photo) TO DO SOMETHING - to help others today. . Amen
