Berry Patch Devotions in 2021 - Day 277

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...   Please take the time to take in a song and lyrics from Michael Card singing … Be Thou My Vision … poignantly singing of how our sovereign God is the focus of our worship … ALWAYS.

Worshipping God Online ...

Highlight Passage:  John 4:23-24 [NLT] …

23 But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship Him that way. 24 For God is Spirit, so those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.”.

Jesus shows the Samaritan woman that the time had come for her to worship The Messiah in her life.

Highlight Passage [Context]: … John 4:7-24 [NLT] …  USE THIS LINK …

… Jesus shows the Samaritan woman whom and how she must worship from then on.

Reference Passage: … Psalm 150 [NLT] … USE THIS LINK

… We are to praise and worship God … ALWAYS and EVERYWHERE …

Reference Passage: … Romans 12:1  [NLT] …

And so, dear brothers and sisters,  I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice — the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him

Paul pleads with fellow Christians to become living sacrifices of worship to God ALWAYS.

Reference Passage: … 1Corinthians 6:19-20  [NLT] …

19 Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

Paul exhorts fellow Christians that we are to worship God with our bodies - 24/7 - as our bodies are God’s Temple of worship.

Reference Passage: … Hebrews 10:25 and 13:15  [NLT] …  USE THIS LINK ... </b>

Yes, … we are called to corporate worship … but also … to continual 24/7 praise and worship of our sovereign God

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Xochitl Dixon, AT THIS LINK   … writes of how she, because of intense pain, was led, … reluctantly, … to watch an online worship service (see photo); and in doing so the ODB author heard a worship leader sing a favorite old hymn (see linked song), and in doing so, she remembered the truths of God’s word (see Scriptures above) that we are called by God’s word to corporate worship, … YES (see Hebrews10:25); … but also, we are called to worship God with our lives WHENEVER and WHEREVER we are.

That’s what Jesus showed to the Samaritan woman at the well, didn’t He (see highlight passage)?  And it’s what the reference scriptures above call us to … 24/7, … to live our lives, using God’s “temple,” … i.e., our bodies (see 1Cor 6:19 and Rom 12:1) … as living sacrifices to worship the Lord.

So, I pray we are all in worship mode today (and tomorrow), dedicated to WHEREVER and WHENEVER worship … by what we think, say, and do.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, …for dwelling in this temple of my body to allow me the privilege to worship You with the way I live today.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, …  to worship You, Lord, with all we are. …   Amen
