My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Bill Crowder, … AT THIS LINK … wrote of how George Liele, a freed post revolutionary slave, served God all his life, quietly but faithfully, planting African-American churches in Georgia. Liele’s missionary life being an example of the type of discipleship and service which will ALWAYS be honored by God.
And this man’s life is used by today’s ODB author to challenge us to faithfully use our calling to serve the Lord as He has served us (see Scriptures above). Because God NEVER forgets and ALWAYS honors those who are slaves to His service as our Lord was a slave to His Heavenly Father.
So, what can we do today to use the gifts and talents God has given us to reach out in service to others, … imitating how our Lord has faithfully served us?
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for calling me to served others today just has You have given of Yourself to serve us.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to reach out in quiet, but faithful, service in Your Name and for Your glory today. … Amen
