Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ... </b>   … Please take the time to take in song and lyrics from Frank Sinatra singing … My Way … And then USE THIS LINK to take in Lauren Daigle singing Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus, realizing that we get to make the choice of which way we will go in life … with our choice determining our eternal future.  .

Highlight Passage: …  1Kings 1:5 [NLT] …

About that time David’s son Adonijah, whose mother was Haggith, began boasting, “I will make myself king.” So he provided himself with chariots and charioteers and recruited fifty men to run in front of him.

… David’s youngest son, Adonijah, declares that HE will be King in succeeding David; … ignoring God’s way in the matter.

Highlight Passage [Context]: … Proverbs 3:5-6 [NLT] …

Trusts in the Lord with ALL your heart; and do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in ALL you do, and He will show you which patch to take.

… Solomon shows us that we find our way in life by COMPLETELY trusting in our Lord, … no matter what our logic or perceptions would dictate.

Highlight Passage [Context]: … Isaiah 26:3 [NLT] …

3 You will keep in perfect peace ALL who trust in You, … ALL whose thoughts are fixed on You.

… We will only find God’s peace when we’re willing to seek and follow His way in life.

Highlight Passage [Context]: … Matthew 7:13-14 [NLT] …  USE THIS LINK …

… Jesus shows that His way is the narrow way … but the ONLY WAY to follow to God’s glory.

Highlight Passage [Context]: … Luke 9:23 [NLT] …

23 Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.

… Jesus shows His followers that to be His disciple we MUST follow His way … not our own!!

Highlight Passage [Context]: … John 14:6 [NLT] …

Jesus told [His Disciples in the upper room], “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

… Jesus teaches the truth that choosing to follow Him is the ONLY WAY to heavenly glory.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Tim Gustafson, … AT THIS LINK  uses the historical story of how Aaron Burr lost the Presidential election of 1800 and let his anger and jealousy lead him to kill Alexander Hamilton, who had supported Thomas Jefferson, in a duel … and later died a bitter and dour old man.

And if my readers have taken in the two linked songs and the Scriptures above, we see - from God’s perspective - what our ultimate choices are, which was the choice faced by Aaron Burr as well; … and that choice is to follow our own way or the narrow way offered by God in Christ.

Personally, I choose the latter - HIS WAY - … how about you?

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for leading me to choose Your narrow road, which I will follow all my life, all the way to glory.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … today, to follow the road, Your road, Lord, … the road less traveled.  … Amen
