My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Sheridan Voysey … AT THIS LINK … tells of how the Paris Fire Department Captain was able to save the Notre Dame Cathedral in the 2019 fire by heeding wise advice from a junior fireman. Sometimes wisdom to save the day can come from unexpected sources.
However, in dealing with life’s heat and challenges, we can never go wrong when we seek and heed the Godly advice of God’s word. And if we’ve taken in the sage - and perfect - advice of God’s word above, encouraged by the linked song, we can have confidence, when we face the darkness - yes, even the fires - of this world, we can put those fires out by following God’s advice in His word.
Oh, how I pray we do so EVERYDAY!
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for giving me the empowering grace and wisdom of Your word to securely help me put out the fires in my life.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to use Your advice, Lord, from Your word, … to put out the fires burning in our lives. … Amen
