My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Xochitl Dixon AT THIS LINK … relates a personal story of showing God’s love thru His word to a former prisoner who felt like no one could love someone like him. But in showing Christ’s love for that lost young man, by sharing God’s truth about love, the former prisoner felt the love of God and surrendered to that love.
You know, we Christians need to be sharing the love of God with others as we are called to do in the Scriptures above. I think we know we’re called to carry out Jesus’ love mission, which He expressed clearly to His followers (see Luke 4:18-21), declaring Himself to be the Messiah prophesied of old. And He called on His disciples (and us too!) to love others just as He has loved us (see John 13:34). And the Apostles Paul and John called on fellow Christians (see 1Cor 13:7 and 1John 4:12) to show Christlike love to others … anywhere and always.
But are we?! … Will we?! … Personally. i’m feeling some pretty deep conviction right now. How about you?
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for deepening my conviction to share Your love with others more often … even today!
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to go forward and share Your love, Lord, with others today. … Amen
