Jan 20, 2021 … Following His Footprints

Berry Patch Devotions in 2020 - Day 20

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...   Please take the time to take in Gordon Mote singing … Don’t Let Me Miss the Glory …  powerfully, in his blindness singing, of how we, as Christians, can take in the power of God’s glory seen in His creation all around us.

Seeing and Following God's footprints ...

==============

Highlight Passage:   Psalm 104:24  [ESV] ...

24 O Lord, how manifold are Your works!  In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of Your creatures.

  The psalmist sings of seeing God’s glory in all of HIs creations.

Highlight Passage [Context]: …  Psalm 104:24-35 [ESV] …  USE THIS LINK …

… The Psalmist wrote and sings of God’s footprints seen in His creation …

==============

Reference Passage: … Psalm 19:1  [ESV] ...

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.

  The psalmist proclaims God’s glory easily seen in the heavens above.

Reference Passage: …  Nehemiah 9:6 [ESV] …  USE THIS LINK …

… God’s people, in corporate repentance and confession, declare seeing and knowing of God’s presence from His handiworks all around them.

Reference Passage: … John 1:9 [ESV] …

All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made.

  John recognizes that ALL THINGS were made by and for God’s glory.

Reference Passage: … Colossians 1:16 [ESV] …

16 For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him.

  Paul recognizes and declares that ALL THINGS were made by Christ and for God’s glory.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, James Banks AT THIS LINK tells of his grandchild of 4 who heard him say that we may not be able to see the animals in the forest but we know they are there because of their footprints. And when asking about God, the child reported knowing that God was in the forest because of seeing what God created there.

Friend, … when you look around you, … up in the heavens or out in the forest (see Ps. 19:1 or Ps. 104:24), … do you see the footprints of God caring for us (as in the photo)?  Can we get the same grasp on God’s glory that Gordon Mote, the blind singer, shares in the powerful linked song?

I pray we look around today and see - and then follow - God’s footprints, … knowing that He created all we see by His hand for our good and for His glory.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, Lord, … for caring for us with all that You have created and all we can see around us.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... I pray that all reading here will join me, … to look around us today and be filled with trust, knowing that God has created all we see, just for us and for His glory.    … Amen
