Jan 6, 2021 … God’s Love Runs Deep

Berry Patch Devotions in 2020 - Day 6

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...   Please take the time to take in song and lyrics from the group Avalon singing … No Orphans of God …  poignantly singing of how we become part of God’s family when we surrender in faith to God’s saving grace.

 Dad saves son from deep well danger ...

==============

Highlight Passage:   1John 3:1a [ESV] ...

 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. …

  John shows Christians that we become children of God when we surrender to Him as Lord.

Highlight Passage [Context]: …  1John 3:1-6 [ESV] …  USE THIS LINK …

… God, thru John, lays out just how far our Heavenly Father is willing to go in adopting us as His children.

==============

Reference Passage: … John 3:16  [ESV] …

16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

  Jesus shows all how far our Heavenly Father was willing to go to let us become part of His eternal family.

Reference Passage: … John 1:12-13 [ESV] …

12 But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

  God gives us the right to become part of His family, as the son or daughter of the the King, when we believe in and surrender to Him as LORD.

Reference Passage: … Romans 8:38-39 [ESV] …

38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  God, thru Paul, teaching Christians that NOTHING can separate us from God’s love.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Elisa Morgan, AT THIS LINK relates the story of Jake McCoy, a father who risked his life to go down a deep well to save his 3 year old son, who had fallen into the well (see photo).

And I’m sure any dad, or mom, reading here would do whatever it takes to save their child in such danger.  But, shouldn’t we, as born-again Christians, realize and remember just how far, … just how deep, … our Heavenly Father went to save you and me and allow us, by believing and following Jesus, His Son, to become part of God’s family as His sons and daughters.

Oh, my friend, … let’s remember, as the group Avalon sings in the linked song that there are no orphans in God’s kingdom.   And I pray we all attest to the truth of the Scriptures above, which remind us of the love Our Lord, … the Son of God, … King Jesus …, our Messiah, … and what He did for us on a cross to give us the opportunity, by believing in His finished work and being willing to surrender to His Lordship, to become adopted children of God …FOREVER!!!   And oh how I pray all reading here are truly rescued and part of His family.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, Lord, … for what You did to save me and all who believe and surrender to follow You.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... I pray that all reading here will join me, to recognize … and PTL … for what He did to save any of us who truly believe in our LORD.   … Amen
