My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Mike Wittmer … AT THIS LINK … ells of how a man turned a $3000 in a company’s product could turn an airline promotion into a lifetime of frequent flier miles for his family, illustrating that prudent and wise use of God’s providence is wisely used for the good of others.
And that is a lesson that God in the new testament repeatedly thought. Jesus, very personally, showed His disciples the importance of serving and helping others by washing their feet (see John 13 passage). He also taught His followers about the importance of giving to help others Matt 6 passage). And the Apostle Paul strongly and often exhorted fellow Christians (see Gal 2 and Phil 2 passages) to take on the attitude of Christ by helping others.
OK, … I think we get the point, don’t we? So, … by taking in the meaning and truth of the song and Scriptures above, … let us reach out - maybe today - to fulfill Jesus’ call for us to do all we can to use our time, talents, and treasures to help someone today (see photo).
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for giving me the resources to help others.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to reach out and help someone else as Your have helped us, Lord. … Amen
