Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...   Please take the time to take in song and lyrics from the group Casting Crowns singing … Love You With the Truth … powerfully singing of the need for Christians to share God’s love with others by sharing His truth.

Highlight Passage [Context]: …  Proverbs 27:6 [NLT] …

Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy.

… The loving words of Godly wisdom from a friend can be bittersweet but necessary to help us grow closer to God.

29 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

Reference Passage: … Colossians 3:12-17 [NLT] …  USE THIS LINK …

… God, thru Paul, challenges all Christians to share the love of Christ with others, no matter how hard it is to speak and share God’s truth with one another.

Reference Passage: … Hebrews 10:24 [NLT] …

24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.

… Christians should always be looking to help others with what we say and do, no matter how difficult it may be at times.          .

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Poh James Banks … AT THIS LINK   wrote about hearing these words from a trusted friend and mentor, … “My dear friend, sometimes you sound holier than you really are.”  … They were words that were hard to hear by James Banks; but coming from a friend, whom the ODB author knew and trusted, they were words that, when received and acted upon, helped the author grow closer to Christlikeness.

I’m sure all of my fellow Christian readers have heard hard words from others, … from parents, teachers, or mentors, which were hard to hear; but knowing the source came from loved ones, they were words that helped us grow closer to God. Perhaps we all need to be willing to share God’s loving, but tough words of grace with someone we love today.

So, … I challenge us all to take in the linked song and meditate on God’s truth, from His word above;  … and then be willing to hear and receive such love from caring friends or family as we move thru life, doing our best to grow in Christlikeness today or tomorrow

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, …for giving me Your tough love thru Your word, … words which help me grow closer to You, my Lord.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, …  to listen and hear Your love, Lord, in wise words, shared by those who love me … and You, … maybe even today. … Amen
