June 18, 2022 … How’re You Doing? …

Berry Patch Devotions in 2021 - Day 169

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...   Please take the time to take in song and lyrics from the group River Valley Worship singing … Hope Has A Name … poignantly singing of how our hope as Christians has a name; and the name of our Lord, Jesus, should be shared with others as often as we can. .

Reference Passage: …  1Peter 3:15 [NLT] …

15 Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.

… God, thru Peter, exhorts fellow Christians to ALWAYS be read to share Christ’s love and grace to others with words of encouragement and love.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Tom Felten … AT THIS LINK  tells of Charla, who was hospitalized and knew she was dying.  Yet, … even in her terminal condition, when asked by a group of interns how she was doing, Charla shared words of gospel love with the interns, telling them about Jesus, and asking them, “How are you doing?”

That’s a good question for any of us, isn’t it?  And it reminds me of what the two thieves witnessed in Jesus as our Lord was dying on the cross (see photo), speaking words of grace and forgiveness for those who had nailed Him to die there.  And we know that Jesus and his disciples, like Paul and Peter (see Scriptures above) wrote to exhort fellow Christians to share God’s gospel love and grace with any and all who will hear the good news of God’s love.

Because if, like me, you’re confronting some very real challenges in your life today, I’m praying we all can reply, when asked how we are doing, by saying we don’t deserve it, but we are eternally more than fine, … that we’re close to being perfect , … because of where our God is leading us.  And I hope we all feel that way and might even be able to share it with someone today.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for giving me the opportunity - maybe today - to share Your grace and love with others.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, …  to be ready to share Your saving grace with someone who might ask us how we’re doing today. … Amen
