June 16, 2022 … NEW DNA …

Berry Patch Devotions in 2021 - Day 167

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...  Please take the time to take in song and lyrics from Big Daddy Weave singing … All Things New … poignantly singing of how we Christians are transformed into Christlikeness by The Lord’s saving grace.

==============

Highlight Passage [Context]: …  Ephesians 4:23-24 [NLT] …

23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. 24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

… God, thru Paul, exhorts fellow Christians to live out their (our) lives being transformed into Christlikeness.

Highlight Passage [Context]: … Ephesians 4:17-24 [NLT] … USE THIS LINK …

… Paul describes for fellow Christians (and us) how we are remade into the likeness of Christ and should live out that newness of Spirit in the way we live.                                                          ===============

Reference Passage: …  2Corinthians 5:17 [NLT] …

17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!.</i>

… Paul strongly declares that anyone who is born-again in Christ becomes a new person.

Reference Passage: …  Galatians 2:20 [NLT] …

20 My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me..</i>

… Paul again shows fellow Christians that he has been made new by allowing his old self to die and be raised anew by Christ.

Reference Passage: …  Ephesians 4:1 [NLT] …

Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. .</i>

… Paul begs fellow Christians to live lives worthy of Christ’s sacrifice and His calling.

Reference Passage: …  Philippians 1:6 [NLT] …

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

… Paul assures true, born-again, Christians that God’s Spirit will do a complete “make-over” of all believers into Christlikeness as we live out our transformed lives for Him.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Kirsten Holmberg … AT THIS LINK   tells of a young man, named Chris, whose body was healed by a bone marrow transplant, which left his life-saving blood in this young man with new DNA.

And that is a real-life physical picture of what Spiritually happens to born-again Christians when we surrender our lives to receive God’s saving grace when we truly believe - in faith - that Jesus shed His blood on the cross to re-make us into His image for eternity.  And that’s the repeated - AND TRUE - message that the Apostle Paul brought to others as he shared the Gospel with many in his day (see all the Pauline Scriptures above).

And if you, … as I do, … believe the truth of Paul’s words above, as well as the message of the linked song by Big Daddy Weave, I pray that all reading here with me, will go out today and live our remade lives for King Jesus as we show others our Christlike lives, being made-over to live like our Lord.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for Your Spirit remaking me into Your image, Lord, so others will see You in the way I live today.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, …  to show You, Lord, in the way we live our lives for You today and tomorrow. … Amen
