My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Leslie Koh, AT THIS LINK … uses the story of a man, Tee Unn, who was kept alive on a respirator during an autoimmune disease crisis. And ultimately he was revived to live normally, causing him to deeply appreciate and be thankful for every breath he could take.
How much do we appreciate the very breath we can take in to keep us alive? And do we forget it is only thru the grace of God that we live at all; and most certainly it is only thru God’s Spirit that we’ve been brought out of Spiritual death and given life - even eternal life - by our repentance and belief in the blood shed on the cross by our Savior. That’s what God showed Ezekiel by the vision of the dry bones of Israel coming to life <b>(see highlight passage)</b>.
Do I sense a genuine ”HALLELUJIAH” … at least right now, … from the thankfulness and realization that God is giving us breath today to fulfill His purposes, … and prayerfully tomorrow.
So, in taking in the linked song, join me to praise our Lord in thanks for the breath He gives us today to serve Him. Let’s join Steve Green, singing our prayers that He breathes in us His power to share Him with others today … and yes, … maybe even tomorrow.
