My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, [undesignated], AT THIS LINK   tells of the author’s very active son, who often needed to cuddle and rest on his mom to be able to nap quietly (see photo).

We’re often like that little boy, aren’t we?  It’s our human nature that desires to control things in our lives, … especially when there is a lot of turmoil or stress.  We just find it difficult to “let go, and let God,” don’t we?

That’s why I start EVERY DAY with A QUIET TIME with God, in prayer and in His word … in solitude away from the stresses of the world.    And as the word tells us (see Scriptures above) and Steven Curtis Chapman sings from Psalm 46, we can - and we must - “be still and know that He is God.”  And when we do trust and rest in God’s promises, praying as Paul wrote in Phil 4:6-7 and Solomon in Prov 3:5-6, we will be able to find God’s peace … just like the little boy does with his mom in the photo.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, Lord, … for letting me rest in You again today.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to quiet ourselves and rest in Gods’ promises to start each day.  … Amen
